Brisbane’s favourite free festival Valley Fiesta returns on November 3rd and 4th, kicking off with the ultimate street celebration.
On Friday night, King Street will be transformed into a boogie-worthy block party with the King Street Food Fiesta bringing tasty treats and terrific tunes for the whole family.
Roaming entertainment will surprise and delight visitors while local restaurants like Fat Dumpling, Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq and El Camino Cantina will offer special signature tasting plates under $20 for those looking to chow down on a budget.
Local acts Lucy Korts, Taitu’uga and Kuzco will take to the stage to provide the ultimate soundtrack to the perfect evening in Brisbane’s party precinct.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said Valley Fiesta, presented by Brisbane City Council and produced by QMusic, is a cornerstone of Brisbane’s music and arts scene.
“We’re committed to helping deliver more free and affordable events to Brisbane residents, particularly with living costs continuing to rise,” Cr Schrinner said.
“For more than 25 years, Valley Fiesta has been captivating audiences and contributing to our incredible local music scene.
“This year we are expecting a huge line-up of more than 27 acts including headliners Mallrat, Mildlife and Hatchie, and local performances curated by the team at Brisbane’s iconic Tivoli Theatre.
“The festival’s two jam packed days will provide an incredible platform for local artists to strut their stuff, while bringing more to see and do to our entertainment precincts.
“For the first time, Bakery Lane and Winn Lane will host some hidden gigs from local DJ’s to explore even more of the precinct.
“Best of all – the fun is free for all residents to enjoy as they discover more about the past, present and future of our music and arts scene.”
After Friday’s foodie festival, Saturday will see Valley Fiesta back at its best with Fortitude Valley coming alive from 3:30pm with a massive line up in Brunswick Street playing the best live music through to the evening.
The Hidden Lanes Bar Trail includes special deals from local bars and DJs playing in Winn Lane and Bakery Lane. The After Parties will be keeping the celebrations going with local venues opening their doors late into the night.
QMusic CEO, Kris Stewart, said Valley Fiesta is an iconic event offering attendees an exhilarating experience showcasing the best the city has to offer.
“We’re so excited to be bringing the best version of Valley Fiesta back, with awesome live music and cultural experiences free on the streets. There’s nothing like a street party to celebrate our vibrant music scene, and Valley Fiesta is the best free street party in Brisbane!”
“Valley Fiesta is more than just a festival; it is a testament to the enduring power of music, culture, and community. It showcases the vibrant heartbeat of Fortitude Valley, inviting everyone to join in the celebration and create lasting memories.”
