Brisbane residents are invited to help shape Brisbane’s incredible lifestyle and have their say on the 20-year plan to revitalise the Kedron Brook catchment.
The Kedron Brook Revitalisation Vision and Master Plan was an election commitment of The Schrinner Council.
The $85 million master plan will revitalise the popular creek corridor stretching 29 kilometres across 14 suburbs from Ferny Grove to Nudgee.
This will transform Kedron Brook into a network of new and improved natural spaces, active transport pathways, and flood resilient landscapes.
Four key precincts across the entire length of the catchment will be identified for revitalisation works.
There will be a focus on planting new habitat along creek banks and improving functionality and water flow throughout the catchment.
Kedron Brook is one of three lifestyle destinations the Schrinner Council is transforming, with revitalisation projects also underway at the Oxley Creek catchment and the Wynnum, Manly and Lota foreshores.
This follows the highly successful transformations at Hanlon Park and Archerfield Wetlands.
The first round of community consultation for the Kedron Brook Revitalisation Vision and Master Plan will close on Sunday, 29 June 2025.
Feedback from this first round of community consultation will shape the draft for this 20-year revitalisation plan.
A second round will commence once the draft vision and draft master plan are finalised.
We invite residents to provide feedback online or at one of the seven information kiosks.

Quotes attributable to Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner
“Brisbane is Australia’s lifestyle capital, and our Kedron Brook vision will create more to see and do in the suburbs.
“Just like Archerfield Wetlands and Hanlon Park, the revitalisation of Kedron Brook will make our lifestyle even better while also boosting flood resilience in this catchment.
“We’re now in the early stages of the design process, and we want everyone to have their say and help shape this incredible opportunity to make our suburbs even better.”
