One of Brisbane’s favourite sustainability festivals will return this year with a new look and name.
After 17 years, the Green Heart Fair will start a new chapter as the Sustainable BNE Festival to better reflect its mission to promote sustainable lifestyles.
The new-look event will be at the Roma Street Parklands on Sunday 25 May 2025 from 9am to 3pm.
After starting out as a suburban gathering of 500 people, it has grown into a major event that attracts more than 20,000 attendees.
Today the festival leads the way in teaching practical ways to live more sustainably.
During this year’s event, leading sustainability experts will deliver hands-on workshops, presentations, and displays.
There will also be live music, artisanal market stalls, food trucks, thrift shops, and activities such as face-painting, Kokedama ball-making, yoga classes, and silent discos.
Our Council is proud to partner with the Brisbane Sustainability Agency to deliver the festival.
This event would not be possible without the valued sponsors:
- Bupa
- Channel 7
- Optus
- Urban Utilities
- Hire Republic
- Brandition
