Families across Brisbane can look forward to a packed Easter break, with more than 400 free and affordable activities across the city.
The Schrinner Council’s program will give kids more ways to stay active, creative and entertained during the April school holidays.
At the centre of the program is Easter at Roma Street Parkland, the city’s biggest Easter celebration across the long weekend which coincides with Roma Street Parkland’s 25th birthday.
The four-day event showcases why Brisbane is Australia’s lifestyle capital, with free fun for families in suburbs across the city.
Children can step into a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party–themed adventure from Friday 3 to Monday 6 April, with daily sessions from 9am to 1pm featuring craft, food, a disco dance party and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Brisbane City Hall will again host the Lord Mayor’s Children’s Program, turning the landmark into a hub for play and creativity.
Families can book free shows including The Common People Family Challenge and My Big Top Circus Family.
Across the suburbs, Brisbane’s 33 libraries will host 127 different events.
These include STEM challenges, craft workshops, storytelling sessions and musical performances for children of all ages.
Council’s Active and Healthy program will keep kids moving with free activities in parks, pools and community facilities.
Families can try pickleball, dragon boating, bouldering, Zumba Kids, martial arts, tennis clinics and basketball skills sessions.
