One of Brisbane’s most popular bus services is making getting to game day even easier.
From today, locals and visitors will have an extra reason to ditch the car, with the Maroon Glider (Route 61) adding a new stop right in the heart of Paddington – Stop 8 Old Paddo Post Office on Latrobe Terrace.
Whether you’re heading out for a coffee, meeting friends for dinner or making your way to Suncorp Stadium, the new stop sits neatly between Paddington Central and the Paddo Tavern, cutting down the walk and making hopping on and off the Glider that much more convenient.
The Maroon Glider has long been a favourite for Brisbane’s “food and footy” crowd, linking popular stops including Suncorp Stadium, Caxton Street, the CBD, The Gabba and Coorparoo Square.
With more than 1.1 million trips since July 2025, it’s clear plenty of people are already on board.
The new stop comes with extended operating hours and 24-hour services on Friday and Saturday nights as part of the NightLink network which means late-night plans are covered too.
Services run every 10 minutes in peak times and depart frequently throughout the day, making the CityGlider network one of the easiest and most reliable ways to move around Brisbane.
As Brisbane grows, small upgrades like this make a big difference – helping people spend less time waiting and more time enjoying everything their neighbourhood has to offer.
The new stop addition follows the biggest boost to bus services in generations with Brisbane Metro and the New Bus Network rolling out across the city.
