The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust has joined forces with fashion icon Camilla Franks for a Brisbane charity fashion runway show on August 12.
Tickets for the Brisbane City Hall event are now on sale, with the colourful world of CAMILLA coming alive to support the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust and grassroots cancer charities, Mummy’s Wish and Be Uplifted.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the Trust was honoured to partner with one of the world’s leading fashion houses to launch their latest collection, ‘Our Natural Lore’.
“CAMILLA is celebrated across the world, from the red carpet in Hollywood to the beaches of Saint-Tropez, and we’re so grateful to be partnering with them to launch their latest collection,” Cr Schrinner said.
“Not only will this be one of Brisbane’s most anticipated fashion shows, it will be a Brisbane show for Brisbane people, raising critical funds to support Brisbane’s most vulnerable residents.”
Lady Mayoress and Chair of the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust Nina Schrinner thanked Camilla, who will be personally showing her latest collection in Brisbane for the first time in eight years.
“This year’s event will support local cancer charities, Mummy’s Wish and Be Uplifted, something I know is particularly important to Camilla given her own personal health journey,” Mrs Schrinner said.
“Funds raised will provide food, medication, care packages and even help pay bills for people and families living with cancer, as the increasing cost of living continues to cause genuine hardship in our community.”
CAMILLA Founder and Fashion Designer, Camilla Franks said her dream for CAMILLA had always been far bigger than fashion.
“CAMILLA is much more than just a fashion brand. It’s a platform which speaks from the heart to empower, break down barriers and bring about change,” Ms Franks said.
The CAMILLA Luncheon and Runway Fashion Show is proudly presented by the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust and KAILO, and will feature live performances from the Queensland Ballet and 33 Red Band, as well as a live auction and raffle.
