The spotlight will shine on up-and-coming artists as The QUBE Effect Live returns to make Brisbane’s music scene even better.
On Sunday 7 April, 19 of Brisbane’s best young musicians will light up the What’s Golden stage at the Tivoli in a free concert for all ages.
Since its inception, more than 300 emerging acts have taken part in the program, which aims to nurture local talent with professional mentoring by music legends like Bernard Fanning, John Collins (JC), Nat Dunn and Fred Leone.
The competition has helped launch careers of some of Australia’s most well-known indie artists including Sycco, Hope D and Beddy Rays.
The live event will kick off the ever-popular Brisbane Youth Week, which provides free and affordable activities for young people across the suburbs.
Council venues like libraries and the Visible Ink Youth Hub will host a number of activities for creative teens and tweens to express themselves.
From outdoor concerts to podcasting workshops to mural painting and skateboarding 101, there will be an event for everyone to enjoy during the week-long celebration.
Activities are free, but bookings for some events are essential.
The QUBE Effect Live is a free event, and no ticket is required.
