Lunar parties, a comedy gala and pop-up dining at a Brisbane institution will ring in the year of the horse as BrisAsia returns.
From the 13 – 22 February 2026, the fan favourite festival will bring a vibrant celebration of Asian culture to Brisbane with 28 spectacular events over 10 days, across 17 suburbs, by more than 350 talented artists.
This year’s festival will introduce 10 new events, promising to captivate audiences of all ages and remind residents and visitors that Brisbane is Australia’s lifestyle capital and one of the best places in the world to live and visit.
New events this year include:
• A Lunar New Year party at the Thomas Dixon Centre that fuses sound and flavour
• The first BrisAsia Comedy Gala at the Brisbane Powerhouse
• Market stalls, street performers, DJs, and live music at Southside Restaurant in Fish Lane
• Skate workshops for kids at Bracken Ridge Skate Plaza
Festival favourites including BrisAsia Dance Battles, Sunnybank Lunar New Year Rooftop Party and Southside by Night will also return to give residents more to see and do across the city.
Now in its 14th year, BrisAsia Festival continues to showcase Brisbane’s rich and diverse Asian cultural heritage, connecting people through art, music, food, and performance.
The 2025 festival saw more than 20,000 people join in the celebrations.
