Residents can learn how to be more sustainable for less, as Brisbane’s favourite environmental festival returns to Victoria Park this weekend.
Now in its 16th year, Council’s free Green Heart Fair is back on Sunday 26 May with educational workshops and live entertainment that will keep the whole family engaged.
The event will bring together some of Brisbane’s best sustainability experts to share practical ways to save money around the home while embracing a more eco-friendly lifestyle.
Experts will touch on a range of topics in including fighting food waste, reducing energy and water usage, embracing slow fashion and gardening and compost tips.
This year the fair will deliver a brand new ‘Healthy Cities’ zone including free yoga classes and seedling planting for kids, while also bringing back fan favourite activities like wildlife displays, handmade markets, free native plant giveaways and even a visit from Brisbane’s favourite blue heeler’s Bluey and Bingo.
Green Heart Fair is delivered in partnership with Brisbane Sustainability Agency, proudly sponsored by Bupa, Officeworks, Urban Utilities and 7 News, and supported by BYD Automotive, Cleanaway, Brandition and Optus.
The Fair will be held at Victoria Park in Herston from 9am to 3pm on Sunday, 26 May 2024.
